Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and The Women's View ("TWV", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who can use TWV

• You must be 18 or over. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up.
• You sign in with a code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure, because anyone with access to it can sign in as you.
• Give us accurate information. One account per person.

2. Your videos and other content

• You own what you post. You give TWV a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to store, process, show, share and promote it in and around the app. This lasts until you delete it, plus a short time for backups and copies others have already shared.
• You confirm that you filmed it or have permission to share it, and that posting it doesn't break anyone's rights or the law.
• You are responsible for checking the filming and sharing rules of the venue, league, school or event. Some competitions restrict filming or own the rights to their footage.
• Don't post content that is mainly about a child under 18.

3. Rules

Our Community Guidelines are part of these terms. In short: no nudity or sexual content, violence, harassment, hate, spam, impersonation, illegal activity, or other people's footage that you don't have the right to share. No bots, scraping or fake views.

4. Reports and removals

• Anyone can report a video, comment, profile or live stream, and block another user.
• If several different people report a video, it may be hidden until we review it.
• We can remove content, end live streams, suspend or close accounts, and withhold earnings if we believe these terms have been broken.
• To report a copyright problem or ask us to take something down, email team@thewomensview.com with a link to the content.

5. Bounties and earnings

• A bounty is a prize offered for videos that meet its description. Each bounty shows its prize, closing time and what it asks for.
• We choose the winners. Likes and views don't decide a bounty.
• A prize is added to your balance as pending. After a hold of 7 days it becomes available, and you can request a payout above the minimum shown in the app. Payouts are reviewed and sent by us, for example to a PayPal address you give us.
• We may refuse or reverse a prize or payout if there is fraud, a rights complaint, or a breach of these terms.
• Earnings are never guaranteed. You are responsible for any tax you owe on money you receive.

6. Live streaming

Live streaming is available only to accounts we have approved. You are responsible for what you broadcast. We may end a stream at any time.

7. The service

• We aim to keep TWV running, but we provide it "as is". Features may change, pause or end.
• To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or lost-profit losses, or for content posted by users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
• If your use of TWV or your content causes a claim against us, you agree to help us deal with it.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We can close accounts that break these terms.

9. Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
